The Finnish DX Association visited WWCR February 26-27, 2013. Four members of the Association and WWCR's Brady Murray (Operations Manager), Phil Patton (Chief Engineer) and Dr. Jerry Plummer (Frequency Manager), met February 26th evening for dinner in downtown Nashville to discuss and exchange ideas. The Finnish DX Association and WWCR met through both the HFCC and the NASB previously, and had been discussing a visit for some time.

February 27 included a tour of WWCR, as well as recording an in studio interview with the four members of the Finnish DX Association for future airings on WWCR.

The four members were: Henri Ekman, Raimo Kaksonen, Vesa-Jussi Rinkinen and Risto Vähäkainu. All are long-time members of the Finnish DX Association. Raimo started the hobby almost 50 years ago, and Risto followed in 1968.

The members left February 27th to travel to the SWLFest outside of Philadelphia, a yearly shortwave DX'ers conference of high stature, that both WWCR and the NASB have attended in past years.

This visit helps to show WWCR's international audience, and the value of organisations such as HFCC and NASB in helping to tie groups from around the globe together in a positive way.
